The philosophies in Star Trek are kinda part of the actual setting. If you don’t get that, why are you allowed to make Star Trek movies.

Sigh. The whole point of Star Trek is that it’s philosophical. If you don’t want philosophical Science Fiction, there’s plenty of that for you to enjoy, but Star Trek is philosophical. Philosophy is part of Star Trek’s DNA, and if you’re given the captain’s chair, you’d better damn well respect that.

Surprising No One, Jay Briscoe Is Homophobic

After a gay marriage bill passed in Delaware, the ROH World Champion tweeted the above messages. A back handed compliment showing his true homophobic roots.

This isn’t the first time he has done so, either. After same sex marriage was legalized in New York, Jay Briscoe tweeted the following:

“Damn theres a lot of fags out in New York today #WhatTheFuck”

The tweet has since been deleted.

Ring of Honor will not be covered in any way by Cewsh Reviews while this man is champion. There’s a difference between saying homophobic slurs to be a heel, as CM Punk and Bully Ray did, and simply being a homophobic fuckbag in real life. They’re both deplorable, but only one is unforgivable.

I want to love this game, but I’m struggling to even like it. That 343 went for graphics above everything else pisses me off. Weapons despawn too quickly, corpses turn to dust, enemy encounters aren’t fun. Did someone forget to put in a Promethean animation for when they take damage? They just ignore you, until they die! And not just the knights, all of them!

Tonight I was playing Spartan Ops with my wee cousin. After being killed for the 22nd time, I respawn to see him assassinate a Knight. Half way through the assassination animation, the knight just teleports out of it, behind me and then delivers a OHKO. Why is this possible? Who thought it would be fun?!

Then there’s the MP. Ordnance is a great idea! You shouldn’t get perks like damage and speed boosts though. Grenades are pointless. Plasma grenades are useless. Why is picking up replacements a perk? Who thought weapon loadouts were a good idea? Perks such as Mobility, and armour abilities are fine. Starting weapons should be standardised. Instant respawns are stupid. Kill cams useless.

My biggest problem: THE FUCKING MAPS. Mainly big maps, whereas what was needed was 4 v 4 maps. Out of 3 map packs, only one has small maps. Not good enough, given the game shipped with 2 small maps and the rest were giant.

How can anyone working on Halo not design a good radar? It’s this simple: Red dot = bad guy. If bad guy is above you, have a line come out the top of the dot. The length of the line determines the distance between you and the target. If it is below you, the line comes out the bottom of the dot. That way a player can quickly and accurately tell where the opponent is, and what floor of a building they are on, or if the foe is jet packing. SIMPLE.

The single daftest thing, though? WHAT MILITARY ORGANISATION WOULD MAKE IT’S TARGETING HUD THE SAME COLOUR AS THE FUCKING SKY?! Dark blue would work! Green, amber, anything except almost the exact same shae of blue as the GODDAMN MOTHERFUCKING SKY.
